20 Surprising Places To Buy Beautiful Cheap Wedding Dresses
On the hunt for a cheap wedding dress? As you may have seen in my previous budget wedding post, I recently got married and found my wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, and groomsmen suits all on the high street.
In a way, it made life easier, as we were on a tight deadline and didn’t have time to go down the traditional route of a tailored wedding shop. Plus, it made things a lot cheaper too!
I found my wedding dress at Coast in the end (more on this in this post) but here are some of my favourite, budget-friendly places I came across to help you find your own stunning, cheap wedding dress.
High street cheap wedding dresses
In no particular order, here are the best high street shops to find your dream wedding dress on a budget…
1. ASOS bridal
ASOS has a stunning range of wedding dresses and accessories for your big day. Whether you’re after a classic lace dress, a boho embellished look, or fancy something a little more modern like a jumpsuit, they’ve got something to suit everyone.
Prices start from just £30, or even less if you manage to score a cheap wedding dress in their sale!
2. Chi Chi London
Chi Chi London is one of the best places to try if you’re genuinely on a really tight budget (rather than just looking for a cheaper, boutique bridal alternative.)
Prices start from just £50 and the quality looks amazing too. There are loads of options but they tend to sell out fast so if you see one you like, snap it up!
3. Boohoo wedding dresses
Boohoo has a budget bridal selection on their site including cheap wedding dresses, bride squad gowns and swimsuits, plus wedding dress accessories like heels and headbands. Prices for dresses start from just £25 too!

If you’re going for a vintage/retro wedding vibe, then RIXO’s bridal range is 100% the place for you to go for your wedding dress! Dresses start from £250 and go up to £1,500 depending on your budget.
Even the more expensive ones are still a bargain compared to what you would pay at a custom bridal shop in my opinion. They also sell lovely accessories like veils and headbands.
5. Nasty Gal
Nasty Gal also has a unique range of alternative wedding dress looks including playsuits and cream tie wrap dresses with all the feathers and flares you’d expect from them.
The best part about their range is you can dress these up to wear again or dress them down too for a more casual look. Prices average around £50.
6. Next
Next has also recently introduced a wedding dress page on their website, featuring bridal wear from brands like Reiss, Joanna Hope, and Amelia Rose. There are some gorgeous choices on there, suitable for all shapes and sizes, and they start from just £150. Amazing!
7. H&M
H&M launched a bridal range a few years ago and while the selection is pretty limited now, you can still purchase some lovely, boho style wedding dresses, which are more on the casual side and cream/ivory in colour on the website. They start from around £15-20.
8. Debenhams cheap wedding dresses
Although the Debenhams recently closed their high street doors, they still have lots of beautiful, cheap wedding dresses, plus bridesmaid, mother of the bride, accessories, and flower girl dresses on their website from a range of brands at affordable prices, starting from around £100.
9. Monsoon wedding dresses
Monsoon has one of my favourite selections of wedding dresses. They all look so stylish and classy, and start from around just £120!
I love that they also have top and skirt separates available and offer a great variety of styles to suit all shapes and sizes too!
10. Pretty Lavish
Pretty Lavish also have a really stylish bridal collection starting from just £80. These cater for a range of shapes and sizes, offering shorter and longer options, with high neck, sleeveless, lower bust, and long sleeved styles available too.

I found my wedding dress on Coast purely by a chance Google image search! Similar to Monsoon, they have a lovely range of dresses that start from just £100. (Mine is the 2nd image, costing just £151.20!)
Whether you’re looking for lace, boho, mermaid fit, they have loads of budget wedding dresses to choose from!
12. Reformation
Reformation have some BEAUTIFUL wedding dresses starting from just £285, so I couldn’t not include them in this list!

More places to find cheap wedding dresses
Along with high street websites, there are even more places to bag yourself a cheap wedding dress if you’re on a tight budget…
Charity shops
As you may know, I LOVE rummaging through charity shops and I’m a huge advocate for buying second-hand, including your wedding dress.
While you may find the odd window wedding dress display in your local charity shops, some charities like Oxfam have a specific wedding dress website or shops dedicated to budget bridal wear.
You can pick up lovely, vintage dresses in charity shops for a fraction of their original price, so I highly recommend looking in your nearest shops!
It’s also worth getting to know the shop assistants, as they may take your number and let you know when new wedding dresses come in.
Selling sites
Selling sites like eBay, Facebook, and Vinted are also great places to bag a cheap wedding dress. It’s not always just second hand dresses up for grabs, either!
Some have bought them online and missed the deadline to send them back, or have had them altered and are unable to return them. Use the filters on each
Renting a dress
Carrie Johnson made this option very popular back in May 2021, when she rented a boho chic wedding dress for just £45 from My Wardobe HQ.
This is such a good idea if you’re on a budget. You’d just have to make sure you returned it in the same condition!
Wear a family member’s dress
I always love hearing stories from other women who have worn their mother’s or grandmother’s wedding dress. It’s such a lovely way to involve them in your special day, and it’s free! You just need to pay for any alterations.
