How To Get SuperSaveClub Cashback Rewards For Free & Is It Worth It?
We’ve probably all seen the adverts for MoneySuperMarket (Judy Dench, ring a bell?) But did you know they recently launched cashback rewards exclusively for their customers?
On top of getting perks like free days out for purchasing insurance, you can now get cashback when you shop on the MoneySuperMarket website – basically like any other cashback site.
The insurance comparison market is very competitive at the moment! Especially with the likes of Compare The Market’s infamous rewards like free Caffè Nero coffee and 2 for 1 cinema tickets. So, is MoneySuperMarket’s SuperSaveClub cashback offering enough to persuade you to use them instead?
I took it for a test run to see if it’s really worth it and to help you find out everything you need to know about getting cashback with MoneySuperMarket.
And on the way, I found out about a little cheeky hack that means you can get access to these rewards without spending a penny on insurance! But more on that later…
What is MoneySuperMarket SuperSaveClub?
SuperSaveClub is a loyalty rewards club for members who use MoneySuperMarket to compare home, pet, life, and car insurance quotes and purchase home service products like broadband and mobile contracts.
The big draw is the MoneySuperMarket annual free days out pass. This gives you free entry to attractions like London Zoo, Go Ape, Drayton Manor, Gulliver’s World, Chester Zoo, and loads more exciting free days out across the UK. They claim this could save you a generous £180 per year!
As well as this, you can also earn rewards of up to £15 when you buy MoneySuperMarket products and get access to exclusive offers and discounts.
The comparison also recently added a cashback feature to the loyalty scheme, meaning you can now get money back when you shop with a range of retailers via MoneySuperMarket’s website.
How do I join SuperSaveClub?
To join the SuperSaveClub, you need to log into your MoneySuperMarket account or create a free account and opt into SuperSaveClub when you purchase a qualifying insurance product or home service e.g. a broadband or phone contract.
How to get a free SuperSaveClub membership
Here comes my secret little tip… you don’t technically have to purchase a product to get access to SuperSaveClub rewards. In fact, you can join without spending a single penny.
If you sign up to MoneySuperMarket’s Credit Monitor tool by simply entering your email, you can get access to the SuperSaveClub app. This is a free service that allows you to check your credit score without affecting your credit rating.
It can take a couple of hours to activate, but once you’ve signed up, your rewards are good to go!
How do I earn SuperSaveClub cashback rewards?
Earning cashback with SuperSaveClub is pretty straightforward and works the same as other cashback sites like TopCashback and Quidco.
You can browse the list of participating retailers and select where you’d like to shop. Click the link and shop as normal. Once you complete your transaction on the retailer’s website, the cashback is recorded on your MoneySuperMarket SuperSaveClub account.
A couple of things to note with this… You must click through MoneySuperMarket’s links to shop on the retailer’s website to ensure your purchase is tracked. And you must also complete the purchase in the same browsing session for the cashback to track correctly.
How much cashback can I earn with SuperSaveClub?
The amount of cashback you can earn varies by retailer and category. Some retailers offer a fixed percentage (e.g., 3% or 5%) of your purchase as cashback, while others provide a flat reward for specific transactions, such as booking a holiday or signing up for a service.
Typically, cashback percentages range from 1% to 10%, with occasional promotions that can push the amount higher. The total you can earn depends on how much you spend and the specific offers available when you shop.
What retailers can I earn cashback with?
MoneySuperMarket SuperSaveClub partners with a wide variety of fashion, travel, home, and every day essential brands, including popular retailers like:
- Amazon
- ASOS
- Boots
- Just Eat
- Currys
- John Lewis
- Booking.com
Whether you’re booking a trip, shopping for groceries, or updating your wardrobe, you’ll likely find an opportunity to earn cashback with SuperSaveClub cashback. The list of brands is updated regularly, so it’s worth checking back often for new offers.
How long does it take to get cashback?
After you make a purchase, cashback is typically tracked and added to your account within a few days. However, it can take between 30 to 90 days for the cashback to be confirmed and available for withdrawal.
The exact time depends on the retailer’s return policy, as cashback is usually only confirmed after the return window closes.
This waiting period is standard across most cashback sites and cashback apps. I’m not going to lie, the wait can be frustrating! You also have to reach MoneySuperMarket’s cashout threshold, which is currently £5.
But once you start earning cashback, you’ll quickly reach this and hopefully build up a nice little pot of cash in no time.
How do I cash out my earnings?
Once your cashback is confirmed, you can withdraw your earnings via your MoneySuperMarket account as cash or via a gift card with selected retailers.
How does the cashback compare with other sites?
While 10% cashback sounds very generous, does SuperSaveClub actually match up to its main competitors in the cashback space? As always, I’ve compared some popular retailers agains TopCashback and Quidco so you can see for yourself:
Retailer | SuperSaveClub | TopCashback | Quidco |
eBay | 1.5% | 1% | 1% |
Boots | 2% | 4% | 3% |
M&S | 1.5% | 2% | 1% |
Argos | 1% | 2% | 1% |
H&M | 1% | 1.5% | 1.2% |
Currys | 1% | 1.1% | 1% |
My review of MoneySuperMarket SuperSaveClub cashback
I really like the idea of SuperSaveClub and I think if you’re a family and you’re buying insurance policies or phone contracts regularly then it’s definitely worth signing up for the days out aspect alone.
In terms of cashback… I’m not so sure? As you can see above, the rates hold up fairly well but it leaves me wondering if it’s worth signing up or just sticking to your usual preferred cashback site.
There are also less than 50 retailers currently on SuperSaveClub and while these are popular brands, you might not find what you’re looking for.
What I like about SuperSaveClub cashback:
- It’s easy to use: The platform is user-friendly and tracking cashback is simple. As long as you click through from MoneySuperMarket’s links, your purchases are tracked automatically
- No hidden fees: The service is free to join, and there are no sneaky fees when withdrawing your cashback. You keep what you earn
- Low cashback threshold: You can earn £5 cashback pretty easily and cashout fairly quickly
- Extra savings: SuperSaveClub can be stacked with other deals, sales, or discount codes, allowing you to save even more on top of the cashback
What I don’t like about SuperSaveClub cashback:
- Long confirmation time: The wait for cashback to be confirmed can feel lengthy, particularly for larger purchases where you’re keen to receive your rewards quickly
- Purchase tracking: While the cashback tracking process is generally reliable, it’s not flawless. Occasionally, cashback may not track properly, requiring you to chase MoneySuperMarket, which can be time-consuming
- Limited high cashback offers: While you can find some good cashback rates, many of the everyday purchases only offer modest percentages (around 1-3%)
Overall, MoneySuperMarket SuperSaveClub is a convenient way to earn a little extra on purchases you’d be making anyway. Sure, their cashback rates aren’t always the highest and the waiting period for rewards can be long.
That being said, if you’re already a regular user of MoneySuperMarket for price comparisons, SuperSaveClub is a natural extension of their service that can help you save even more.
